Easier, but slower way to get a chicken is to buy an Egg at the supermarket for 50G and put it in the incubator, it will eventually hatch and become a chick. Then go buy another Egg and repeat the process until the first chick becomes an adult chicken and lays an egg, then you can use that egg to get another chicken.
